These are the cakes I made at the Pat- a-Cake cake and coffee morning. To raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society who do great things for people and their families suffering from the effects of M.S. We taught the ladies how to make little carrots and sugar flowers. I particularly like to make sugar flowers. They are so tiny, and complex it's very relaxing! These are lemon cakes with lemon buttercream and sugar lilac hydrangea flowers, I reckon they were pretty tasty!

A Sushi inspired birthday cake for twin 10 year old girls having a make your own sushi party! It was so much fun to make, all the sushi is made from icing and the cake inside is chocolate, covered with icing and painted to look like a wooden box.

Last friday I made a moomin mama cake for a friends birthday. I modelled the design on a page from one of Tove Jansson's Moomin books. I really like exaggerated piping. Cakes that look like proper birthday cakes! Inside the cake was marbled chocolate orange with orange curd and chocolate buttercream and I reckon it was pretty good! Most importantly Ash was pleased!

A bit out of season, day of the dead is celebrated in November but its taken me a while to set up this blog! I piped these sugar skulls we made for a photo shoot, they looked great all crowded together!
This is a cactus cake I made for a friends birthday. Inside it is a spherical chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream in the centre. I piped the entire surface with cactus coloured buttercream and covered it with spines. The spines are individually piped and dried! and the cactus sits on a terracota pot filled with brown sugar to look like soil. Last but not least the flower is sugar craft too. Next I want to make a whole cactus garden, full of cupcake sized cacti!
